Posh Pets is a boutique dog-walking and cat-sitting service that promises to take pet care to the next level with a host of signature concierge services.

From providing chilled water breaks during steamy walks to playing soothing music for anxious cats during visits and hosting “Yappy Hours” for pups, Posh Pets goes the extra mile.
Our animal-loving team promises to create a strong relationship with your pets, while providing 5-Star service to our clients. No two pets are alike, and we personalize each visit, providing peace of mind to pet parents and pampering your furry friends when you’re away.
Our Posh Professionals use a state-of-the-art, GPS-enabled mobile app to check in and out of each service, allowing you to receive a notification each time your walker or sitter completes a visit. You can also track GPS coordinates of your dog’s walk, communicate with your walker or sitter, manage their walking or sitting schedule and pay for your services through the secure (mobile-friendly) customer portal or client app.

About Kimberly
Born and raised in Mexico City, Kimberly Richmond had a stellar career in the hospitality industry and founded an international destination wedding company before embarking on a successful pet-hospitality career.
Whenever she traveled however, she hated leaving her “fur babies,” Chase and Scout and struggled to find reliable pet-sitting services for them. This became especially true as they aged and required medication and special diets, however she couldn’t find a company that met her admittedly high expectations for their care.
After a decade of globe-trotting, Kimberly sold her bridal business and, while contemplating her next step, went to work for a dog walking/pet sitting company.
She soon realized that this was her calling and, the rest as they
say …. is history!

About Chris
Chris spent more than twenty-five years in the hospitality industry before COVID-19 inspired a career change. His extensive experience in management with a foundational background in sales made him a natural to become Posh Pet’s Managing Partner. With a client focused approach, he oversees the day-to-day operations and client development aspects of the business while planning and executing the vision for the growth of the company.
Having grown up in a family that indulged pets with gourmet cooked meals, seasonal bandanas, and over the top special treatment, he embodies how passionate people are about their pets. He strives to ensure that each Posh Pet is given the same pampering by our Posh Professionals that they would get from their loving pet parents.
When he's not caring for his four legged friends, Chris enjoys landscape photography, cooking, and listening to records from his collection of vinyl.
PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR
About Piper
Piper is a born extrovert and not-so-mini Bernedoodle who leads the Posh Pets outreach effort by spreading love and inspiring smiles wherever she goes. She's never met a stranger and loves making new friends.
She's in training to become a Canine Good Citizen and her career goal is to serve as a certified comfort dog who can visit hospitals and retirement communities.
She's also an aspiring Instagram model (follow her antics here) and enjoys running around with one of her many squeaky toys, thinking she's a lap dog, and chewing on things she shouldn't.
OUR AMAZING TEAM
Valentina
Valentina's love of and care for our clients led to her being named Posh Pets' Team Leader. She's a first generation American, born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She is in her final year at George Mason University, majoring in Criminology in hopes of becoming an FBI agent. On her free time, she enjoys tutoring high schoolers in Spanish, coming from a Chilean background herself. She has her own doggo name Humor who is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix!
Emmalee
Emmalee is originally from North Carolina and moved to Alexandria mid 2022. She loves getting to hang out with pups and kitties of all shapes and sizes during the day and getting her steps in right along with them! Emmalee grew up with lots of pets around and knows how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry family members! When she’s not dog walking or pet sitting she enjoys cooking, traveling, and trying new restaurants and bakeries!
Susannah
Growing up in Arlington, Susannah always loved playing with and learning about animals. She loves to take walks around town and meet all the dogs along the way. She joins Posh Pets from our merger with See Sparky Run, where she had worked for the past three years. Susannah loves getting to know all the furry clients and their unique personalities.
Sofia
Sofia is one of four siblings, born and raised in the Northern Virginia area. She adopted two Chihuahua and Yorkey mix doggos in early 2018, but always had a love for four-legged friends since she was a kid. On her free days, she plays pick-up basketball and even has dreams of opening up her own basketball camp for kids and young teens. She’s always open to learning new things and experiences!
Janice
Janice came from a military background, and was born in Puerto Rico, raised in Germany, and just moved from Illinois in March! Her love for any and all animals comes naturally, as she feels much happier with them by her side, including her Yorkie named Mindy. Her favorite hobbies when she's not caring for pets are spirituality, spending time outdoors, and doing make up.
Ryan
Ryan was born and raised in Arlington. He recently moved back home after graduating from Virginia Tech with degrees in neuroscience and psychology. He’s currently in a transition period as he figures out his next steps. Animal behavior and zoological research has always been a huge interest of his so graduate school could be on the horizon. In the meantime he’s here enjoying the day to day. Walking dogs and pet sitting has been a great fit given his lifelong love of wildlife and pets.
Mason
Mason is originally from Colorado and moved to the DC area in 2018. Since moving away from her parents and their dog, she craves some fur-therapy time. In her free time, Mason likes exploring the city and finding new cafes and restaurants. She joined Posh Pets in Spring 2021 and primarily serves the Alexandria area!
Mehtap
Mehtap grew up in Arlington and currently resides in the Falls Church area where she has been a pet sitter on and off since high school. Her love of animals started at a young age as she'd spend her childhood summers with birds, cats, dogs, cows, sheep, goats, and horses on her grandparent's farm in Northeast Turkey. She is currently in a career transition and while she's not studying or preparing for a certification exam, she is walking, playing, and taking lots of fun pictures of our furry friends.
Kyra
Kyra grew up in New York and went to college at Clemson in South Carolina. She moved to Arlington to earn her Master's degree in Forensic Sciences at George Washington University. Kyra had dogs and cats of her own growing up and fostered animals throughout college. She is a pet-lover through and through. When she isn't taking care of animals, she's interning at the Police Department's Crime Scene Unit, reading, cooking, and spending time with her roommates. Kyra loves being part of the Posh Pets team and can't wait to meet more furry friends!
Beth
Beth recently moved to the Arlington area for grad school after living in the Philadelphia area the majority of her life. Aside from completing her Master's degree in Intelligence Studies, Beth loves spending time with her roommates, visiting her parents down in Tampa along with her extended family in the U.K., dancing, and reading up on topics related to her classes. She loves her new job as a dog walker/pet sitter, as she never had a pet growing up! She feels that this has become a great outlet for her to channel her love for dogs and other 4-legged friends that she didn't get to experience as a kid. She hopes to adopt a puppy as soon as she gets a place of her own.
