Arlington’s Museum of Contemporary Art is easy to miss, but this former schoolhouse has been a staple of the community since 1976. The landmark is hosting Howl-ween! Your furry friend will have the chance to “strut their stuff on the red carpet,” PAWticipate in the costume contest, and snag doggy delicacies during the trick-or-treating session. p on it’s 3rd year of raffles, giveaways, on-site pet portraits, and pet-themed vendors. Put on by the joined efforts of Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID) and Rosslyn Dog Owners Group (R-DOGS), the event’s dog costume contest has built up an esteemed reputation. *HINT* *HINT* Last year’s costume winners were selected categorically by spookiest, cutest, most unique, and community choice. Take note that to enter you must register on-site at the Rosslyn BID table.

Take your pet along for a glorified walk as a SPOOKtacular parade participant!
Del Ray’s Halloween Parade Pet Costume Contest has become a hometown favorite – one resident going so far as to enter his cat into the contest by way of decorated stroller. The parade route is just under a half mile, along Mt. Vernon Avenue. Stop in The Dog Store or any of the many other dog friendly businesses located in the heart of Del Ray. Pets must be registered by 1:30pm at the corner of Mt. Vernon and E. Howell Avenues. Costume categories include: Creative, Team, How Could You Do This To Me?, and Vola Lawson Best of Show.

Oct 29 | Doggie Trick-or-Treating at Dogma Bakery Shirlington | 2pm - 4pm
The Shops at Shirlington Village love our four-legged friends, and Dogma Bakery takes the cake! Dogma has partnered up with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to cater a Halloween-themed tasting. Now that deserves a chef’s kiss! Costumed canines will have their photos taken at check-in to be judged by the shop’s social media community. Register with a $20 minimum donation today and receive a sign up link for available trick-or-treat times. Registration includes a raffle ticket, a trick-or-treating bag for collecting baked treats, and helps save lives. Every attending dog will receive a Bark Halloween toy while supplies last! Costumes not required to register.
